Meet Your Doctors
Dr. Brian and Dr. Steve are proud to use state-of-the-art technologies and the best in modern techniques to provide comprehensive patient care that prioritizes the individuality of every patient they see. They care deeply about the patient experience and work to ensure that every patient understands the ins and outs of their unique treatment throughout the entire treatment process.
Dr. Brian Lorei, DMD, MS
Dr. Brian received his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree in 2001, graduating with the distinction of Valedictorian from the University of Pittsburgh. He then went on to specialize in Orthodontics, completing his residency in 2004 at the University of Maryland. He then honored a commitment to the United States Air Force, serving as the Chief of Orthodontic Services at Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan for 3 years. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association serving as a past President of the local component.
Dr. Brian considers his family his greatest accomplishment and has enjoyed watching them grow here in Central PA since moving to the area in 2008. His wife, Sarah is the Dentist/Owner of Millennium Way Dental Studio in Enola and loves supporting the local community just as much as he does. Dr. Brian and Dr. Sarah share three amazing children Leila, Cameron and Ava. He can always be seen all over town supporting their ventures (ie. Uber-ing). When he is not in a natatorium, on a baseball diamond or cheering for a double back layout, Dr. Brian fills his time with travel, Peloton and during the nicer months searching for his golf ball on one of the local courses.

Having always enjoyed entertaining people and excelling in academia, I found orthodontics to be the perfect blend of science, engineering, artistry and human interaction. I understand the opportunity to balance the science and clinical skills associated with delivering the highest quality of orthodontic care while connecting with people on a personal level. Having a positive impact on patients’ lives is extremely special in today’s busy society. I believe orthodontic treatment is something I do with a patient, not to a patient, and I am committed to making every patient experience at Straight Smile Studio fun, informative and efficient. Orthodontics challenges me on a daily basis to grow as a provider and as a person, and I gladly welcome these challenges, while striving each day to exceed the expectations of my patients, family and friends.”

Dr. Steve McCown, DMD, MS
Dr. Steve is a graduate of Northern High School. After attending college in Ohio, he returned to his home state to attend dental school at Temple University. He then went on to specialize in Orthodontics, also completing his residency at Temple. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists, and the Pennsylvania Dental Association.
A native of Dillsburg, Dr. Steve is thrilled to create amazing smiles in and around his hometown! He’s an avid skier, a terrible golfer, and a morning person. When he’s not in the office, you can find him at the gym or being pulled around local trails by his Great Dane. His wife, Courtney, is also from the area and is completing her medical residency as an OBGYN at UPMC Harrisburg. Dr. Steve’s favorite things about being an orthodontist are the relationships and trust he builds with patients, and seeing their faces light up when they look at their before and after pictures. He was a patient in this very practice twenty years ago, and he firmly believes that creating healthy, confident smiles can change the lives of patients and make a real difference in the community. And yes––he still wears his retainers.
