Appointment Policy

Straight Smile Studio is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. We will schedule your appointment for a time and day that works best for your schedule. If you have an emergency situation, we will do everything we can to see you that same day.
If for some reason you cannot make it to your appointment, please contact our office. This allows us to reschedule your appointment in a timely manner, and prevent the potential for an unnecessary extension of treatment time.

Please note: Failure to attend your scheduled appointment without a 24-hour notice, will result in a $25 fee. If you call to change your appointment after hours, you can simply leave your name, number, and a brief message in our voicemail and we will return your call when we return.

Oral Hygiene

Oral hygiene is a vital part of orthodontic treatment and will help ensure you have a healthy and beautiful smile for years to come. We understand that brushing and flossing can be difficult with certain appliances, but Dr. Brian and Dr. Steve can teach you how to best clean your teeth and braces during your appointments and let you know if there are any spots you need to focus on.

We encourage you to check your braces once a week for anything loose or bent. If a bracket or band comes loose, if you break a wire, or if you lose your rubber bands, please call either of our offices so we can ensure you get the care you need to keep your treatment on track. You can use the diagram provided to explain what has happened, taking special care to be as specific as possible with our receptionist.

For further guidance on proper brushing and flossing techniques, please refer to the “Orthodontic Brushing and Flossing Procedure” handout that you received at your bonding appointment. If you have further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our offices.
